Heretic

Two girls knock on doors, inviting residents to join the Mormon church. When they arrive at Mr. Reed’s home, an elderly but polite man, he welcomes them in to learn more. What begins as a simple exchange about faith soon escalates into an intense confrontation about God and belief. With a complex script that challenges its audience, polished direction from the directing duo, and Hugh Grant’s captivating turn as the villain, the film emerges as “a tremendously enjoyable type of horror, full of giggle-inducing jump scares, but sending you off with some intelligent questions to gnaw on” (Time Out).
