Vedette

This is the story of three women and Vedette the cow, the queen of the French Alpine pastures. She has won prestigious awards throughout her life, but now she is getting on with age. The film follows these caretakers and this one magnificent beast as age and time catch up with them all. Vedette asks the audience to reevaluate the relationship between humans and animals, the intimacy between breeders and their farm animals, and compassion far from urban activism.
