Budapest, 1944. Violetta escapes deportation to the camps and bribes a local soldier to help her, using a ring she removes from her finger. Sixty years later, her son and granddaughter return to Hungary to find the ring and return it to her. The family’s journey to save the ring becomes a path of redemption for his character – a weak man who has lost his way in life.
