The Swindle

Italy 1955 | 104 minutes | Italian | Hebrew subtitles

Augusto, Ricardo and Roberto are small-time crooks who rob from the poor by disguising themselves as priests – but when one of them tries to double-cross the others, he is left to die alone on a hillside. Despite their despicable vocation and moral ambiguity, it is hard not to feel sympathy for the protagonists as the film progresses.
