In the presence of filmmaker Willy Lindwer
Between July 1942 and September 1943, 63,000 of Amsterdam’s 77,000 Jews were deported. 58,000 were killed. The Nazis received the help of many Dutch citizens in this extensive operation: police officers, civil servants, as well as the Amsterdam City Tram that served as a main conduit for the Nazis and deported tens of thousands of Jews to the train stations on their way to the death camps. Veteran documentary filmmaker Willy Lindwer and author Guus Luijters retell this forgotten story of deportation.
