When his young son threatens to kill himself over a woman, Francesco Vincenzini takes on the task of confronting the young woman. But behold, he finds himself head-over-heels in love. The fact that he is married, with a grandchild, does not even faze him. As male idiocy is always relevant, this comedy – produced over 50 years ago – still works today. The Tiger and the Pussycat is hilarious, with credit going to the marvelous Vittorio Gassman, whose performance is one for the ages. The intricate script and Dino Risi's direction result in a shrewd and elegant comedy you will not want to miss.
